OK, I can confirm that 733->736 was the Amazon store card reporting a payment (util 13% down to 3%).
I had pulled all three bureaus with CCT yesterday. I pulled all 3 again today. (Fortunately we still can do that! For another week.)
The Amazon store card payment has NOT reported to EQ/TU yet, they still show the higher balance, and scores at those bureaus have NOT changed, they're the same as they were yesterday. Only EX saw the payment, and only the EX score changed.
I will keep watching. Today is the day the inquiries age to 6 months. If there's still no change by tomorrow or Monday then I think we can conclude that neither an inquiry aging to 6 months nor an account aging to 6 months is significant to FICO.
Will update once more when I know!
OK, so I can confirm two things:
Accounts aging to 6 months has no impact on credit score. Moving from two accounts under 6 months to zero made no difference.
Similarly, inquiries aging to 6 months makes no difference -- moving to zero inquries under 6 months had no score impact.
As an interesting aside -- I picked up a few points for my Amazon store card moving from 13% utilization to 3% utilization, with an overall utilization of around 1% across all cards (low because EX isn't counting my PRG in utilization where all my spend is). I don't know where the "line" is, but just guessing, utilization over 10% on a single card actually made a difference.
Next credit challenge will be in November when my oldest inquiries hit 1 year, I'll post details nearer the time.
