When does the ding apply in terms of new credit?

I know you get a ding for apping, however do you also get a ding when the new TL shows up?

I went on an app spree in sept (4 inqs = 5 new TLs) and want to know when the dings should hit and how hard the blow will be.

The dings very from person to person-

Lot's of variables-
Was Avg age affected
When was the last time applying for credit
How many accounts in the last year?

On the positive side-
Positive TL's
More avil credit.

The Dings soften in a few months if they are treated responsibly.

Here are my variables:

Was Avg age affected?  My oldest card (now closed) is from 1999.
When was the last time applying for credit?  Last time apping was in Jan 07 = 1 Inq
How many accounts in the last year? No new accounts since 2005.

So far SW has not noticed the new accounts, but on TC they are starting to pop up one by one.
