Me and my wife filed 100% Chapter 13 in 2022. We are in the final stages of close out and should have the discharge in a week or two. The last year or so the only thing we have been paying in the Chapter 13 is two auto loans, one through NFCU and one through Nissan Financial. The last score on my Dashboard was Equifax on January 19, 2024. I tried to update the score but it will not let me. See the attached message of what it says. I am going to need a new auto loan and I am trying to get prepared and see where we are. Can anyone explain?
We regret we are unable to fulfill your order request because your credit report does not contain the minimum information required to calculate your FICO® Score 8. In order to receive a valid FICO® Score, the credit report must have:
The minimum scoring criteria may be satisfied by a single account or by multiple accounts on a
credit file. In certain rare cases, whether a given credit report qualifies for a FICO® Score may
vary across different FICO® Score versions. Your credit card has not been charged
for this request. You may see a pre-authorization for the purchase price on your
credit/debit card. These funds are held temporarily and will not be posted as an actual charge.
Your credit report was accessed to provide this service, which will be reflected by a Fair Isaac
Inquiry that the credit bureau will post to your credit file. The Fair Isaac inquiry is posted as a soft
inquiry so that it will not affect your FICO® Scores.
You may, however, have a credit report and FICO® Scores available based on the other national credit bureaus TransUnion, Experian.
Are neither of these auto loans showing on your credit reports ? Were they removed as a part of your BK ?
Theay are still showing (In Bankruptcy).

Ok so both Auto Loans were part of your BK, guessing they're not updating monthly with your payments.
Do you have any other open accounts ? CCs, loans, etc.. ?
Nope, most of the Bankruptcy were the auto loans and back taxes.

If that's the case then you won't be able to generate a FICO score unless one or both of your auto loans are updated as a result of your final BK payments. You could try to pull again in a few weeks once everything is closed out and see if you are showing a score.
You'd need at least one account with 6 months of history to show a score.
Alternately -- have you reached out to either NMAC or NFCU to see if they'd be able to work with you for a future loan ?
I have not, I am awaiting the Dischare Paperwork from my lawyer. NFCU was going to be my first stop.

I'd start with them for now, hopefully at least one of your existing lenders can help with a new auto loan.
Have you tried to get your VantageScore? You can get it for free. FICO is weird sometimes tbh.
