Credit Scoring

I am having a serious issue with the way in which Equifax does their credit score.  I have been working on my score for a long time now and to get it where it is; it is not perfect but it sure as hell not has it was before.  The other two agencies (Trans Union and Experian) have me 133 and 127 HIGHER than Equifax.   I can understand 40 or 50 but 127!  This is way too much!!!

Re: Credit Scoring

Compare your credit reports. For that kind of difference, there's got to be some wide differences that you can dispute. (Or, if you can't dispute and a baddie was sent to only one credit agency, you can praise your lucky stars that your mid score is 127 points higher than it should be!)

Re: Credit Scoring

Are all scores FICO scores, or are they Vantage scores?  Apples and oranges....

If they are all true FICO scores, it is not uncommon to see a variation of 20-30 points between them, for each CRA licences different versions of FICO scoring from FairIsaac.  But that kind of diff is very abnormal, and probalby due to diffs in their basic credit report, from which scoring derives.  Scour your CRs for differences.
