Don't sweat it. If I lived and died by what CK said, I'd be totally freaking out about my credit scores. They report my TU as a 609, when it is 728 here on MF, Walmart and Barclay's.
As a data point, I recently received an email from Cap One letting me know that the fico score you check on their site will be based on the Vantage 3.0 score.....same as they use on CK.
CCT offers 1 dollar for 1 week and you get accurate fico8 scores and credit reports. Cancel in one week and if you want to stay with it, they may offer you half off the price. Everytime your card reports, your score updates and you get a new credit report.
I've been on the good side of FICO/FAKO lately, where as my wife's scores were in the same ballpark between the two as well as mine. I believe it was within 5, except my fico transition was over 800 and CK reported about 15 points less.
Either way, if you see change on your CK, you can click the score, and you'll see a "changes" tab somewhere. You can click that and it'll tell you why they justified lowering your score. The CK model isn't the same as FICOs, but it can give you an idea. Maybe an old loan, or cc dropped off after 10 years? It happened to me that way... Just something to check out
For what it's worth, Vantage Score 3.0 doesn't actually suck and is used in the wild. It might not be FICO, and one can mostly ignore it, but it's not asinine in my experience.
If it were me, and I were prepping for a mortgage and I took an unexpected drop on a current generation CK score (Vantage Score 3.0) I'd be looking into it personally but that's me. CK is brilliant as you can get access to the majority of the base report, and then compare it to the last report... I'd be doing that like right now, again that's just me with how I get during mortgage time.
Anyway I would optimize your report first before pulling the 3B report here, you do want to know your scores before you walk into the lender in my opinion, short cuts so much discussion.
