Credit Wise isn't a FICO score so ignore it.
If it doesn't say FICO next to the number, ignore the number.
And even you and he each have access to a true FICO score, there are other reasons that your two scores could behave differently:
* Different bureaus. The bureau your score is based on might be different from his. Experian, Equifax, and TransUnion are the three bureaus that house credit data.
* Different FICO models. FICO makes a lot of different scoring models, which yield different results from each other even when the bureaus and the data themselves are the same.
* Different timepoints. Even if the model and bureau were the same, if the scores were generated a few days apart they could have different results.
In your case you can just ignore CW since it is not FICO, but even if it were there would be those three things above to consider.

I believe Cap1 Creditwise uses the Vantage 3.0
Ignore the VantageScore that CreditWise gives you. I can't tell you if AAoA (average age of accounts) is reported accurately, nor can I tell if you if utilization is spot on. AAoA needs to include closed accounts, and utilization always needs to be rounded up and never down. Credit Karma drops the ball in both of those areas.
But like Karma, the CreditWise TransUnion report is good.

When you say algorithm, I believe you're just referring to the "fluff" software that is used to provide you with charts, graphs, percentages etc. Those pieces of data are there for entertainment purposes only and don't always impact score based on what they say. As others have already stated above, CO uses VS 3.0, not a FICO scoring model. Their scores can be ignored.
