I'm about to be sick. I know we should take Credit Karma with a grain of salt, but overnight, my daughters score dropped 84 points from one accidental inquiry. I requested a CLI for her on her NFCU CashRewards, but got the 3-5 day message so I cancelled the request, and they responded fast saying they cancelled the request. Well, sure enough this morning there was a new inquiry.
Nothing else changed and Credit Karma updated yesterday also with 734, which is where she's been hovering for months.
This morning, 650 with the one extra inquiry! **bleep**!
I understand the sick (and angry) feeling. My CS FAKO once dropped 50 or 60 points overnight for NOTHING. No activity at all. I panicked, paid for my EX report -- NOTHING. The next month the score jumped right back up to normal.
If you've examined the underlying CR data and you don't see any problems, it might be best just to relax and wait this one out.
