I need to pay down the 2500 because this will help reduce the overall util.  Secondly, as I am yet getting any feedback from the other cards regarding credit line increases I need to open other accounts that do not report to the CRA.

Would you recommend I send payments to the larger account with 9800 bal with a 15002 cl.?

I just got approved for 2500 cl on this one.  My concern is that even though i did not show a hsrd pull, I did show an inquiry which is likely to drop my FICO.  I thought that inquiries did not get on the report if there was a soft pull, apparently, I was wrong.

Are you SURE it was a soft pull?  If it was a soft pull, creditors won't be able to see it but you will.

When I look at my Equifax report (directly from the CB) there's one section for Inquiries (hard pulls) and another section for Inquiries that do not impact your credit rating (soft pulls).

My myFICO report shows ONLY the hard inquiries and none of the soft ones.

Where does the inquiry show up?

that is the wierd thing.  I cannot be sure until I buy another report.  As long as the FICO number is not affected my plan is to wait to see the progress by next month.

my reasoning is that since I am being notified of an inquiry but the score remains the same then it was a soft pull.

in the meantime, I dropped the util on both of my cards to 59% of CL.  Again, I need to continue to attack on all fronts.  Any suggestion on another strategic move to follow.

But where did you see an inq? An alert from TC, on a CreditSecure report, a full report directly from a CRA, on a myFICO report, SW alert, etc.

alert came in from MyFico.  the score did not change automatically.  I am hoping that I get no dings on this.  As I continue to pay down my CL I should be getting better ratings going forward.  I am paying down the consolidated loan down to 20% on the cc with a 5k lim.

My "guess" is that it was a hard inquiry if you got a myFICO alert.  I don't think myFICO sends alerts for soft inquiries.
