Re: Data points & Fico 2,4,5 advice

I have a write-off from 7/13.  This is on my equifax and Experian.  Transunion is clean.

No wonder!

I would interpret a "write-up" as being a "charge-off."   This means that it will come off your report July or August of this year.  Perhaps, you could apply for an "early exclusion" 1 or 2 months off in advance from Experian and Equifax.  Experian is 2 months; Equifax is 1 month.

You can determine when the account will actually come off through looking at your reports at annualcreditreport.com for free.  They don't have the credit scores----but they have details as to when derogatoy items are deleted from the reports.

Yes.  I meant charge-off.  The crux is the charge-off isn't what is holding my fico 4 down, much.  My Transunion fico 4 is only 10 points higher without the charge-off on the report.

I will look into the early exclusion, I didn't see that as an option when challenging an item on my report.

If you get rid of the charge-off from Experian and Equifax, you will have 3 clean reports.

Thats good from the standpoint of any mortgage provider looking at your reports, even if that doesn't help your scores that much.  It also gives you peace of mind.

As stated, that's not how FICO works.  Post your reason codes, that's for real analysis; especially since comparing the relative scores between the bureaus which is pointless because they weight different things.

TU fico 4 - Factors:

You have a short credit history

You opened a new credit account relatively recently

You have not established a long revolving and/or open-ended account credit history

current TU fico 4 - 720

These two both improve pretty quickly with age but you wouldn't have them if you were still in the derogatory scorecards, surprised your scores are as low as they are between inquiries and new accounts.

Is there no 4th factor? I expected credit-seeking.

Actually good point, there are TU pullers on the list within the last year.
