Good morning folks,
Short back story of what happened to me was that I got sick and was hospitalized and I fell behind on my one Capital one card. I made payments but not enough for the minimum. Anyways dealing with my medical costs, I was in a pickle. I was maxing out cards to pay for medicine and hospital bills and it wasnt good. I wasnt able to work. Anyways fast fwd 8 months later, I paid off all my cards except 2. My citi AA card and my cap one card (which I got current and am working on getting the late payments wiped off). Working on getting them paid off. Between the two I'm looking at 10k roughy. I'm at a CC UT of 45%. Avg Age of my accounts is roughly 11 yrs
I logged on experian and signed up for their premium membership. Experian says 662, Equifax is 674 and Transunion is 654. How accurate are those fico 8 scores? I wonder how much those 6-7 late payments on the capital one card brought me down.
Also does anyone have any tips to have inquiries removed? Or any other credit health tips? I am a newbie when it comes to this online forum stuff.
Thank you!
The scores you get are accurate at the time they are produced.
You can't get inquiries removed unless you didn't authorize them or they were erroneous . If you were denied for a credit product and want to remove the inquiry for it, that is not a valid reason.
Try joining some credit unions, like NFCU, they have lower rate products that may benefit you.
