I've heard that CK's Vantage scores aren't accurate but the inquiries on there shouldn't be different than the one on the FICO report, right? I received my first official TU FICO through Discover, saying that I have only 2 inquiries within the last 12 months but CK states 6, which is in line with my credit applications. I didn't have any credit history before the July of last year so any inquiry is within 12 months. Just wanted to know if anyone had some insight into why the FICO is reporting 4 lesser inquiries
Discover's "credit report" isn't accurate, but the credit score is useful.
Credit Karma's "credit report" is more accurate on inquiries but their credit score is useless.
Take note: the only credit report that is real and accurate is the paper report you get once a year for free from the bureaus. Also note if you're denied for anything for any reason (CLI request even) based on a credit bureau report, you can get another paper report for free based on the denial or adverse action.
Discover's free score is useful ONLY for the FICO 8 score. Credit Karma is only useful for monitoring recent changes, not for the score or the account history.
I started working on a chart to actually explain what each website is useful for but gave up on it in summer. Think I might get back to working on it because I would use it myself, lol.
Just a reminder to make sure you set a calendar reminder to pull your paper reports, though. They really are the only truly accurate measure of what exactly is on your reports. Even FICO 8 scores aren't 100% useful considering how many lenders use something other than FICO 8, and even lenders who do use FICO 8 may not use your most recent report's score but an older soft inquiry score.

I'd forgotten that (and it's the only silver lining arising from this month's Chase triple-pull). Thanks.
