Difference in Scorewatch and Lender pull

Can anyone tell me if they have noticed a difference (higher/lower) in their FICO score - pulled from a lender vs SW?

If I pull my SW scores today and drive to the bank and my LO pulls them - will they be the exact same numbers?

Generally on a mortgage app, yes they will be the same; however, anything else YMMV.

Re: Difference in Scorewatch and Lender pull

My EQ was spot-on for both mortgage and a CU pull for a sig loan/CLI.  TU has varied, but the one here is lower for me.

Starting Score: 10/1/2011 EQ 568 TU 593
Current Score: EQ 664 TU 700 EX 701 (FAKO)

Re: Difference in Scorewatch and Lender pull

No difference in mine - recently did a refi and the lender pull and my SW were exactly the same on the same date

Had a 10 point difference in my TU vs here but expected given the different versions used

FICO: EQ 769, TU 762 , EX ???

Re: Difference in Scorewatch and Lender pull

Discover sent me a different EQ score than ScoreWatch. However, I believe the thinking is that Discover uses a CC-enhanced score.

PenFed Platinum Cash Rewards (19.5k), Amex BCE (9k), Chase Sapphire Reserve (30k), Chase Freedom Unlimited (14.5k), Chase Marriott Premier (19k), Discover More (10k)

We think (not officially confirmed) that it as a credit card enhanced FICO08 score.

Re: Difference in Scorewatch and Lender pull

I always get confused about how inquiries are grouped together for the purpose of rate shopping.

The reason I bring that up is that there could be the difference of an inquiry between Scorewatch and your lender pull IF you already have a mortgage inquiry during the rate shopping period (since Fico ignores that when calculating lender scores).

Re: Difference in Scorewatch and Lender pull

I have been checking my credit on all kinds of sites recently and finally I just did a lender pull and my equifax was identical to my SW, my TU was 6 points different from my Creditkarma (which is TU based) and 11 points different from my USAA (Experian based)... so those are pretty good.

The other FAKO's are very different.  The lender and I reviewed the 3 reports to determine why there was such a difference in his pulls among the 3 credit bureaus (687 713 775), but accounts and amounts were the same... so knowing your EQ FICO is only parts of the picture...

Starting Score: EQ 740, EX 792 (lender pull), TU 772 (lender pull)
Current Score: EX 850, EQ 835, TU 755
Goal Score: all over 800
