Different score factors with same information on reports

Hello everyone,

I wanted to see if anyone knows why we get different score factors from diff CRA's even when the reports are essentially the same.

My EQ and EX fico 8s are in the 760 range, while my TU is at 728.

Score factors on EQ and EX is only short credit history , While on TU I get ( in order)

Derog items - 30 day late from 2019 -

Balance on installment accts too high ( 20% paid down)

Short credit history

I'd appreciate any insights.

Re: Different score factors with same information on reports

Welcome @Arian7798

"When the scores are significantly different across bureaus, it is likely the underlying data in the credit bureaus is different and thus driving that observed score difference. However, there can be score differences even when the underlying data is identical as each of the bureau's FICO scoring system was designed to optimize the predictive value of their unique data."

Re: Different score factors with same information on reports

It's not uncommon for your scores to vary across the 3 CRAs for several reasons. First, the algorithms have the same basic factors, but are fine-tuned a little differently for each CRA. Also, not all creditors report to all 3 CRAs. I can't be sure, but I'd bet that's what's happening in your case. It appears that there's something negative reporting to your TU that's not reporting to the others. If a 30 day late payment on an acct is reporting to TU, but not the others, that's most certainly why your TU score is lower, and you see the negative score codes on TU and not the others. I'd go to annualcreditreports.com, and pull your 3 reports. Then go through your accounts and payment history on each with a fine tooth comb. If a 30 day late is reported to TU and not the others, that's the culprit.
