Hi I am new to the forum. I took the plunge and got my credit score from Equifax its a 632 but I went to get a car financed and I was told when they ran my credit it returned a score of 589. Is their a separate score for auto loans or home loans why won't they use my Equifax score? This is disconcerting, disappointing and making me feel as if I paid Equifax for a phony score.
Welcome to the forum
The EQ score you bought was not a real score....sorry
....real scores are sold here
Yes there are auto enhanced scores when it comes to auto shopping
I hate to blindside you but there are over 50 true Fico scoring models and each will come up with a different score based on your CR's

To be clear, there's one EQ score which is a legitimate FICO (their Score Power product, and that is use in the traditional tri-merge mortgage pull) and one which they market I think as their "credit score" which is FAKO.

Thank you for your responses I really thought equifax.com would give me a real score since it is one of the three major companines. Oh well I guess I will wait till I pay off another debt before I try another score inquiry.
