Discover Statement CS vs. Capital One Statement CS

Hello,

I am just hoping to confirm that when it comes to credit scores on credit card statements that when it comes to closest to accurate, would Discover likely be more accurate?  Am I correct that Discover is TU FICO 08, whereas Capital One is just pulling FAKO from CreditKarma?

Also, can I confirm the models that the scores are that we purchase here on MyFICO?

MyFICO TU = TU FICO 98

MyFICO EX = EX FICO 08

MyFICO EQ = EQ FICO 08  (after upgrades they are currently doing)

Do the above look right??

Year 2012: All Scores in the 520 range, during a foreclosure, CC Settlement and high UTIL. Very ugly days...
Sept 2024: EX8: 847; EQ8: 850; TU8: 848 -- Middle Mortgage Score: 821
In My Wallet: Discover $73.7K; Cap1 Venture $51.7K; Amex ED $38K; Amex Optima $2.5K; Amex Delta Gold $18K; Citi Costco $24.5K; Cap1 Plat $8.4K; Barclay $7K; Chase Amazon $6K; BoA Plat $21.6K; Citi TY Pref $22K; US Bank $4K; Dell $5K; Care Credit $6.5K. Total Revolving CL: $300K+
My UTIL: Less than 1% - Only allow about $20 a month to report, on one account. .

Discover is TU 08, and I don't think Cap One offers FICO scores.

You nailed the scoring models available here.

Thanks, 5387!

In regard to the TU score within myFICO being 98, is there ever word that maybe one day we will have more of an updated model, such as 04 or 08?  Do we know if many lenders still use TU98?

Strange you mentioned that

IMHO CAP1 is straight from CK I already knew it was a FAKO but the reason I say this is because it matched the exact same score as my CK....wonder why Lol

Before you app think...
Have you done your research of the CC?
Does it fit your spending?
Do you have a plan for the bonus w/o going into debt?
Can you afford the AF?
Do you know the cards benefits? Is it worth the HP?

I had a feeling that the Capital One statement scores are just CK.  Just as you have found, my scores are always 100% the same between the two.  It is a shame that Capital One does not provide scores that are a bit more meaningful.

You said a mouth full for sure Bravo

With Discover Barclay FNBO GE all giving free Fico scores you would think CAP1 would step up to the plate and follow suit. Guess they're not looking to win the big game but just get to the playoffs. Lol
