Discrepancy between report and FICO score

I use the FICO app, when going to my TU report, it says I have 2 inquiries on my report. It's been saying 2 inquires since 8/10, But then when I go to the score section and scroll down where it shows you a small breakdown of your data points. I click on "amount of new credit" then it on that screen it only has  1 inquiry.

why is this? The report is newly refreshed so there shouldn't be any difference between the report and breakdown? Everything else is good, the util ratio matches up. And this only happens on my TU report. The eq and exp matches up perfectly. For example my exp report says 3 inquiries and when I go to the breakdown underneath my score it also says 3, so why is it only transunion?

I can't tell if this is some sort of delay? The inquiry in question was a double pull from chase, they originally pulled exp, then a couple days later they also pulled TU, at first I thought the discrepancy was because Chase used a soft pull for their second pull, but soft pull wouldn't show up. So that's not it.

Re: Discrepancy between report and FICO score

Id's go by whats listed on your monthly pull when it loads. The comments under different catagories aren't really accurate. Plus its only a HP. Nothing to worry about. Isnt affecting scores unless you have a ton of them.

If you seriously want an answer to your question you're going to have to be much more specific about where, how, and when you're getting your information.

Re: Discrepancy between report and FICO score

@SouthJamaica @FireMedic1

Ok feel free to ask any questions if I haven't given you enough information below.but here it goes.

I get all my info from the FICO app, I have the paid monthly service so I get a new 3b report each month.

on 8/4 I opened a new card with chase, this resulted in a hard pull on both trans union and exp. Since then, new reports have been pulled several times, either via the monthly reset, or via me paying for an extra report to try to fix this inquiry discrepancy.

when I go to the FICO app, and I go to reports, and I go to Experian. It says 3 inquiries. Then when I got to the section where it has all 3 scores and below those scores are all the data points, (util, payment history, length of credit, Amount of new credit, etc. I click on the section "amount of new credit" and it matches up, that also says 3 inquiries.

however, the same does not happen with TU.

When I go to the reports section it says I have 2 inquiries, and it's been saying 2 inquiries since 8/4 when I applied and got approved. but when I go to the "amount of new credit" section, it says I only have 1, again, that has not changed since 8/4 despite multiple  reports and scores resets  since that time.

now, I'm not complaining about one of my CRA's missing a hard pull, if anything that is good for my score. I'm more curious about why this has happened, and I'm also curious if my score has already taken the hit for this inquiry despite it not being on the "my scores" section of the FICO app.

or, if my score will mysteriously take a hit at some point if/when the other inquiry decides to show up.

Re: Discrepancy between report and FICO score

Please list each hard inquiry for the past 25 months.  Specifically, show the following:

Creditor (Bank) name, Bureau (Experian, Trans Union, Equifax), Date of hard inquiry

I suspect that some of the numbers you are seeing apply to the total number of inquiries in the past 25 months, while other numbers reflect inquiries in the past 12 months.  If you look in your myFICO report under the "Amount of New Credit" section, it will show the "Number of Recent Inquiries" within the past 12 months.

Re: Discrepancy between report and FICO score

The myFICO reports only show inquiries that affect your credit score, so won't show any older than 12 months, even though they remain on your credit reports for 24 months.

Re: Discrepancy between report and FICO score

Credit one- from august 2023 (13 months old and exp only)

cap one-  from July 2024 (3 months old, they did their infamous triple pull and therefore the inquiry hit every CRA)

chase- 6 weeks old, on exp and TU (double pull)

equifax- only has the cap one Inq from their triple pull

TU- report says I have inquiries from both cap one and chase which is correct. Amount of new credit section underneath my 3 scores only shows cap one Inq, chase is not showing up there

exp- has all 3 Inq. credit one from 13 months ago, cap one, And chase. This is true for both the report and the amount of new credit section. They match.

Do you have the Basic, Advanced, or Premier service with myFICO?
The Basic serive only has monthly report updates from EX.
The Advanced lets you update all 3 every 3 months.
The Premier does all 3 every month.

Unless you have the Premier service, your TU and EQ myFico reports are not going to stay as current as the EX one.
The little breakdowns for each are based on the update of the myFICO report, so can go 3 months between changing if you are not Premier.

OK now I understand.

I believe it happened because TU is not considering all 3 to be scorable.
