EQ ding for two CC's with balances instead of one

Well, I spaced out and forgot to make my early payment of the balance on Best Buy, and it reported (a whopping $234 out of $2500.) I did have just one CC with a balance (the 0% BT), now I have two with no change in util (5% ) --> lost 4 points.

15 open accounts, 11 of which are CC's, now with 2 reporting balances.

Fun times in the 19+ years of reporting history bracket.

That sounds about right - it does illustrate that while it makes a difference come mortgage time, most of the time it is not worth worry about. 4 points will not cause most banks to blink, let alone do an AA.

I lost a point on EQ when I had a $15 balance report while Iallready had $35 on another card.  For me, EQ wants only 1 CC to report, no more and no less.

Oh, I realize that, and I'm not worried; I'm just tossing this into the endless debate about whether you can get penalized for having as few as two cards report. And the answer, on my reports anyway, is yes! Smiley Wink

It was exasperating though, since I had just gotten back above 710 on EQ. For 8 whole days. Smiley Tongue

You think that's bad? I just cured cancer, saved kids from a burning building and when I opened up TU, it said "Oh, so you can't take the time to teach dogs to read hebrew?

Lost 4 points. I give up!

Seriously, though, on april 1st (and any other day) it might as well spit out something like that. I swear, I once heard a raspberry when I pulled a Tu report. Barry, get on that!

Hauling you lose 4 points for letting 2 report instead of 1 and I lose 12 points for letting 1 report instead of 2 or 3. Yeah that's the ticket. Smiley Happy

I feel like I was playing one of those video games and just found a secret passage to a new level that I never knew about. Those are new buckets to me. Thanks for the post. Good detective work.
