EX FICO 2 up 20 pts?

Re: EX FICO 2 up 20 pts?

I have a theory. When it comes to installment loans, we know that time can award points independent of aggregate installment utilization. Considering they had not reported since December, you missed the one year anniversary of payments being made on that loan without fail.

So my theory is when they caught up the reporting, you hit the threshold showing your payments on your new loan and that’s where the points possibly came from, but I could be wrong. Just conjecturing

That makes sense! I wonder if I will see the same score increase on the other bureaus. I will report back when I get the monthly update.

Re: EX FICO 2 up 20 pts?

It’s not necessarily uniform across bureaus and we don’t even know the thresholds, but I have noticed some increases on them at 12 months myself, that aren’t scorecard changes.

To be honest I would have to go back and pull my reports to figure out which bureaus and how many points. I don’t know if I made a thread for that or not I meant to but I was busy and I don’t know if I did, tbh.

Re: EX FICO 2 up 20 pts?

I just wanted to update. My EX Fico 2 has been all over the place. As of right now it's at 676. Below I have some dates and what I saw in my reports at the time, starting with 7/14 which is the day before I first started this post and reporting a 700 score. In the below I am including three credit cards and their utilization %, but I also have one other card as well that always reports $0. I have already paid 2 of these cards balances to $0 so that way I will be at AZEO but just waiting on that to report.

One of my cards the utilization did go up from 15% to 23% so I can understand how my score went down 4 points after that. But, if you look at from 7/23 to 7/29 it went down an additional 20 points, and the only difference between the two reports was my auto balance.

I am not sure why my auto balance is fluctuating - I am guessing it's due to the covid extension I have where interest is being added. My normal monthly payment is due in a couple weeks and I will be paying as normal again though.

Also, I had checked my TU mortgage score on 7/23 and it had no change from the previous month (still 679). I haven't received an updated EQ yet.

Just sharing in case anyone is interested. For now I just am waiting on my AZEO to report out and hoping I can get the best score possible in the next couple months as I want to purchase soon.

Well so much for my theory I don’t know unless there’s something else changing on the report somewhere else

I don't think that would do that.
