EX Reporting...

My EX score is 646, by far the lowest of the 3.  It seems like the two major differences are this:  my credit history is only 7 years with EX compared to 10 years with both EQ and TU.  This is due to one of my first credit cards reporting on the other two but not Experian.  However, I did have 1 or 2 late baddies with that card.

My question: can and should I request that credit card company to report to EX?  I know my history and average age would benefit, but would those benefits be outweighted by the baddy that would result from the card reporting?

Can I even ask the credit card company to do this?

Thanks for the help in advance.

Re: EX Reporting...

You can ask, but most companies subscribe to these credit reporting services. So if in fact they do have an account with that bureau, they probably won't report to them. It actually costs them money to do this.

Re: EX Reporting...

That's the assumption I was under.  Oh well, I suppose I'll just let it be.
