Equifax has duplicated ALL my accounts

Okay with the whole Sallie Mae screw up thing going on, I checked my Equifax report a few minutes ago to see if my Sallie Mae accounts are duplicating like some other people.  Well, guess what?  Each and every single account I have is now showing up twice on my report!  I kid you you not.  I now have a duplicate mortgage, two duplicate car loans, student loans, credit cards, etc.  OMG.  What do I do?  I am afraid that if I call Equifax and put in a dispute it will just jack up my report even more.  I am applying for a mortgage in a few weeks and do not want any disputes showing up.  What do I do?  Is anyone else having this issue wih Equifax today? I am at a loss.

Re: Equifax has duplicated ALL my accounts

Okay, called Equifax.  He pulled a new report and it doesn't show any duplicates.  But my Sallie Mae accounts are no longer listed.  I gave him the conf # that I had that showed the dup accounts, but he said he could not find that conf #.  Go figure.

Re: Equifax has duplicated ALL my accounts

Yeah, I'd say that EQ is going to be playing whack-a-gator with all sorts of weird things popping up for the next little while.

Maybe if they duplicated all your accounts, they'll double your score! Smiley Very Happy Good luck, hang in there.

This sort of thing is one of the many reasons that it's so handy to have old reports saved. Another instance is when a file splits, and they have to rebuild it.

Re: Equifax has duplicated ALL my accounts

Any chance this has anything to do with Score Watch from EQ not working?   I opened an account in April and know my score dropped below my target score, yet NO alerts..............

Re: Equifax has duplicated ALL my accounts

Boscoe, I doubt it, but SW still isn't quite working for me the way it used to either. I have had a couple of new accounts to post to the CR with no change in score. IDK, but I am sure glad that I don't work as a CSR for EQ right about now.

This happened to my hubby's report as well. What the heck are those people doing over there?

Re: Equifax has duplicated ALL my accounts

A few years back (when I was hovering the 450 FICO line) EQ did the same thing to me on most accounts that were reporting (but no Sallie May) and they fixed it, and within a matter of about a week, my score jumped 75 points after they corrected it. EQ seems to have a duplicate reporting disease or something.
