Re: Equifax reporting problems

Interesting comments on Equifax. Yes, they are and have been a pain for many years. Found riding them like a horse and "disputing" legitimate errors until they finally get it right. Their latest thing with me is reporting many old closed accounts as active open accounts. It seems every few months they reported closed then out of the blue they report open. Since their reporting is not actually affecting my credit report I have been letting it ride. Of late, they changed my address and now I am dispute putting back where it has been for many years. Unreal !!! Smiley Wink

Re: Equifax reporting problems

This open/closed ping pong that EQ has going with your account might start affecting your scores when some of those accounts reach the 10-year mark, at which point you could see them falling off your report altogether.

Interesting point ... did not cross my mind but, it sure could happen. Glad you brought the possibility up. May not be able to ignore long term.
