So I have been a long time MyFICO member... However recently I had a need to order a credit report/score directly from Equifax and to my surprise they came back with a Credit Score of only 635!!! However I have been following my Credit Score information for some time and have put great effort into having a high FICO score, my current FICO score based off of my Equifax score is 795. I know that Equifax does not have the ability to give you your FICO score.... however it has been my past experience that usually the FACO scores are much higher then your actual FICO score? Has anyone else ran into something like this before? Should I be worried or just stick with FICO?
Thanks

Please note: Equifax does offer a true Fico 4 score (used in mortgage lending). You need to select the ScorePower option to get it. This is identical to the score you get on a myFICO report for EQ risk score 5 (Beacon 5) shown in the mortgage score section on the 3B report - which is Fico 4. [ EQ also offers their own educational score - suggest not purchasing that option]
As far as I know EQ does not offer Fico 8 on their web site. This is the most commonly reported score and is typically the Fico score used in score tracking. *** classic EQ Fico 4 scores have been known to differ from classic EQ Fico 8 by 100 points. Monthly score tracking on MyFICO is Fico 8. Typically EQ Fico 4 is lower than EQ Fico 8 but, "offset" is profile dependent.
If you want a better understanding of your scores, consider getting a copy of your 3B report with scores. That will allow you to see how each Fico model scores your profile.
Hmmm... I just checked and I do not have access to my FICO Version 4 score for equifax (only version 8 and 5 for them) however I do have access to version 4 for TransUnion and it is a 770 and my version 8 score is a 803.
Will the 3B provide me with the version 4 for Equifax? As it does not appear to be included with the 1B for Equiafax?
Thank You

I purchased the 3B report a couple times ($59.95 as I recall). It gives you 19 Fico scores.
It does include EQ Fico 4 - which is listed in the Mortgage score section in the Equifax column as EQ (mortgage) score 5. The TU (mortgage) score 4 is also Fico 4. Just to confuse things more, EX score 3 is Fico 4 as well.
See the thread in this section: "myFICO 3B report results" for a listing of how scores can vary by profile.
OK, thanks for the info... It looks like with my current subscription that I have I will be getting a 3B in a couple of months so I will just wait until then.
Thanks for the help!
