Experian App adds credit card usage rating for every card.

Forgive me if this has been discussed already but its hard to search with all the util discussions that are displayed.

I was checking my credit report this morning and saw Experian added a seperate line for credit cards with a overall rating. I'm not sure what they consider to be fair which is what I have for every single card.

I've noticed this too. But it appears to have only two settings: "Fair" and "NoCredit".

It seems like it doesn't matter what balance I let report or how much I've put through it that month; if any balance reports it indicates "Fair". All my zero balances are "NoCredit".

I think there's a thread around somewhere that theorizes this is just a front end thing with Experian, but I can't find it on my phone at the moment.

All of my accounts are reporting fair with or without a balance.  I'm curious what it would say if I had a card at 100% UTI.

This is only a feature in the mobile app.  If you log in to Experian's website through your mobile browser, or on a laptop or desktop computer,  the "Usage" line shows the individual utilization percentage for the card as it has always done.

Mine says no credit on the ones that say zero as well, but if I let it report any amount it becomes fair. There are definitely not just two ratings though as I have one card that lists medium.

It sounds like "usage" is being flagged as activity or something and doesn't mean "utilization" in this example.

I noticed this as well and I read the prior thread about the changes but I haven’t found any conclusions.

Here it is: https://ficoforums.myfico.com/t5/Understanding-FICO-Scoring/Experian-Credit-Report-quot-Nocredit-quo...

@Maize I think you are referring to the usage that is displayed where you see multiple accounts ... if you double click on the account where it brings up multiple attributes for just one account on the screen at a time, there’s another inside there I think.

*** I stand corrected***

No, I'm not mistaken.  I actually checked the Experian app, then Google Chrome mobile browser, and then logged in to my Experian account using Google Chrome on both a MacBook Pro and a Windows desktop computer.  I went to the Account Details page using each method and the "Usage Rating" of No Credit/Fair/Medium only appears when in the Experian app.  The other methods show the actual percentage of credit used (utilization) for the specific card.

Unfortunately my Samsung Note 9 security features don't allow screenshots of the Experian app or I would post a comparison of an account in the Experian app vs Chrome mobile browser.  Apparently iOS users are not prevented from taking screenshots of banking apps but my phone displays a "Can't take screenshot due to security policy" message when I try to capture individual account pages in the Experian app.

Here's how an Amex account (relatively similar to the example posted by the OP) appears when Experian is accessed via Google Chrome mobile browser:

You are 100% correct MaizeandBlue. I wasn’t positive which is why I said I think. But I just logged in from my PC and confirmed the same as you stated.
