Experian ghost late payment

As im sure many know around here i have student loan lates Oct 2013 - june 2014. When I look both at myfico and the experian app it says most recent late 5 years and one month ago. EQ has it correct at 6 years and transunion says 6y 4m which isnt correct either.

I called experian just got "dont pay any attention to that, your last late on your file is "6/2014, but will be excluded 10/2013"

Something is making my file code this way they have no idea I have no other negative accounts or remarks anywhere else on my file. Anyone ever see this happen or may know why

Thanks

Re: Experian ghost late payment

Look at the actual report data for the tradeline not the interpretation of the report.  In the tradeline history it will be marked with status including lates and severity of said lates on a month to month basis.

Also you may want to do that on annualcreditreport, while both Experian and myFICO should have the right tradeline data ultimately an ACR report is the source.

Also your dates don't quite line up right, all the bureaus exclude around the 7 year mark (their implementation for doing that varies a little) and as such you should be clear ~6/2021 if that 6/2014 date is accurate.

Re: Experian ghost late payment

Reason it was 10/20 is experian deletes the whole late string at the first late not month by month like eq or tu

Thats what it all says for all of them I was granted a retroactice forbearance in july of 2014 that covered for 1 year which they dont report any data, 5 years 1 month would be may 2015, which makes me guess since they count 1 consecutive string as one late they are including the "no data" as part of the late, that would be my guess
