Experian score

Hi. I am currently trying to refinance my auto loan. I purchased my Experian score here on myfico.com and it shows 687. However when my credit union pulled it was 655. Why the discrepancy? Does this sound right? I thought it would or should be exactly the same. Thoughts? There is a difference of interest rate between the two scores that is why I am so concerned. Please help. Is this an error? And should I dispute

Re: Experian score

There are a bunch of different FICO variants / scoring models / formulas, for example EX 04 vs. EX 08.

Because of this, scores will often not match, even with identical report data.

There are also time lag issues, for example if a week elapses between two score calculations, and the report changes in the meantime.

Lenders often use proprietary scoring systems, or FICO variants that don't match generally available scores such as the ones found here.
