Thanks for the information!  I'll light my torch now too, and beat on sallie mae's door to get my points back.

Your DH will probably gain those points back from the mortgage in relatively short order. The card might take a year but they will be back as well - his account age category probably took the biggest hit with 2 new accounts reporting.

In my case, I just had a recent (Mar 2007) chargeoff removed.

EQ up 23 points.
TU and EX didn't change at all.

Mythic, when you say you had a chargeoff "removed,"  what did you mean?  "Removed" only has meaning in scoring when it is actuall deleted from your CR.  Apparently, it was not deleted from all three CRs as of yet, so just give it another month to record..

I mean deleted. It was deleted from all three CRs. I verified that via my daily EQ, EX, and TU pull before purchasing the score from myFICO. After seeing the same score, I checked the report pulled by myFICO to generate the score and in both cases (EX and TU) it had been deleted.

My emotions went from excitement on seeing the deleted to huh? when I saw the scores.

I do know, that even if I'm not seeing any increase now, that there will be a (hidden) increase down the road when my future scores would have been much lower if this chargeoff remained (ie, when all the older negatives fall off).

Hey, mythic, you answered my question, so if it is gone from your CR, it no longer has anty scoring implications.  Other questions about your score are thus henceforth totally unrelated to that TL!

Re: FICO Causes and Effects (What Happened, and How Did it Affect Your FICO?)

Allowed only 1 CCC to report a balance of 1% of its CL and 1% total util.  No changeSmiley Mad in EX or EQ,  TU didnt report the change yet.

So its seems that total util maters more then card util when you only let one card report or that 1% vs 3% is the same.

MY National City Visa card is not 1 year old yet so maybe I will get a boost when it becomes 1 year.  I also see that I must wait more years for my 120 day late to fall off before my score goes over 800 and 2 more years for EQ to go over 760 (Score Simulator).

My score were good enough to get the best rates from my CU on my car loan and I dont need any more credit.  I am thankfull for what I have but it would have been nice though.

As the Greatfull Dead said.  Keep on Truckin.
