Was the 11 point increase from the original score, or the lowered score?

From what I was told by a rep with Ex, If you have an account in your file that is about to fall-off your report due to the 7 year rule. Do not  make any arrangements, because, your 7 years starts over from the date you made new arrangments. This is only in the event you're 1 to 2 yrs of reaching your 7 yr mark for the baddy to fall-off your report completely.

This is what was told me by a rep with EX. I mean it makes sense , what would be the point, it's going to fall off as if it never exsisted!!

myFICO as of 12/07/07 - TU - 673 EQ - 713 EX - 654

Beside the refinance of our mortgage this summer, I had not applied for any credit in almost 2 years. I have always been jealous of DH's WAMU high CL + free TU FAKO score so I decided what the hell, it can't hurt my score that much especially since it will bring my util down below 20%. I also committed an absolute NO NO + applied for a GAP STORE CARD I was placing an order online + they had an incredible 20% your first GAP CARD PURCHASE (usually they only offer 10-15%, FREE SHIPPING + DOUBLE REWARDS POINTS which would get me a free $20 certificate just with that order. So they got me. I ended up saving $75 total, but now that I have pulled my new scores I am not sure it was worth it

Well, at least I have learned my lesson. I have the WAMU card I wanted + saved a few bucks + we aren't planning any big purchases anytime soon, so hopefully the scores will recover. I just did not expect such a dramatic drop!!

Cheer up, your scores will probably recover in a couple of months. Congrats on the WaMu! (and the Gap card --I'm just scared of store cards. )

BTW, the TU score isn't a FAKO. It's a dramatized --er, enhanced-- credit card FICO score. So whatever you have going on with your CC history, good or bad, it will be more so on the WaMu score (PFICO.) --you probably know that, I'm just throwing it out there!

yes, you all taught me about PFICO i just always call it FAKO heh.
i better keep my terminology straight.
i have been here long enough to know better than to be tempted with a GAp card of all things! measly $300 CL! i could kick myself!
scared of store cards?! what about best buy!? so shiney + loveable!

Got stuck in NYC airport and charged  expenses that = 80 % util, droped  my score to 538, ( this was 5 dys before reporting, ) it is now pif , but no report yet ....  and this forum is great b/x it gives you control over your credit. , hoping on a big increase

I got at pre-approved CC offer from National City which I accepted.  My TU score went from 723 to 718.  National City did a hard pull on my TU report.   They only other inquiry on my credit report was from Wachovia back in August when I foolishly opend a checking account with them (no OD).  Some reported balances droped slightly but no other changes.

My scores:

12/16/2007: TU: 718 EQ: 710 EX:729

I am waiting for over 3000 to be rreported off my CC balances so I hope the scores will rise.

OK here is an interesting SW alert:

i am AU on DH Wamu CC.
he has not used it in almost a year so I had him use it for a small purchase.
he bought $45 worth of touch-up paints for our road bikes (1% UTIL).
when this reports, we both get a SW alert:

his EQ FICO goes up 7 points.
my EQ FICO goes down 13 points.

the explanation SW gave was the same.
UGH, scores are so impossible to understand!

Gw'd a 6 month old collection off EX report. Score goes from 623 to 673.
