Re: FICO (EQ) is whack

I lost 13 points for the dormant account thing a few days ago, although the reported balance had to be zero, as I PIF 3 days before the statement cut.  (Yes, I verified they received PIF).  It truly was a dormant account, though...hadn't used it in six months (forgot about it).

I've had my issues with Discover reporting, too.  A couple of times it was because I got a CLI, so they reported that, along with the current balance.  I have no clue why it reported out of cycle the other times, but I've changed my statement date at the suggestion of another member here.  We'll see what happens.

As far as legislation goes, I won't comment on that.  Absolutely no one on these boards wants to hear me go on a tear again.

Anyways, glitches sometimes happen.  But did you get any CLI's lately on these cards?  That might be a reason.

Let us know if you find anything out.  Good luck.

Re: FICO (EQ) is whack

I subscribe to both EQ SW & Credit Watch Gold and they work excellently.

Yesterday I received a SW ALERT that said my score dropped 11 points when nothin changed on my credit report.

FICO scores on November 17, 2014 (prior to applying for and being approved my mortgage)

EX=738
EQ=735
TU=754

FICO scores on March 4, 2015 after being approved for mortgage and buying the home, the mortgage isn't yet reporting.
EX- 689 EQ- 739 TU- 739

Re: FICO (EQ) is whack

I usually pay as soon as it comes out of pending, so I am usually nowhere even close to the statement date. Some of my cards will allow you to pay while it is in pending others will not. I used to use my debit card for large purchases because I still got points, but I switched banks and they don't offer points any longer so I use the cards.

I received an alert today that my score went up 6 points because apparently is now showing a decrease. Wow I lose close to 60 points but they give me back a whopping 6 points.

Yes, Lowes gave me a CLI when they saw I just purchased a house.

I think Hauling might be right - I might be rebucketed or something.  Like you all have said, the reasons are not reasons at all, most of the time.
