Does it really take 6 plus months to get your first FICO score from when you start a line of credit? Can it happen sooner?
Yes it takes six months. No it doesn't happen sooner.
The exception is if your first tradeline were opened toward the end of a month. Say July 25. At least one of the credit bureaus, perhaps at all three, your age advances one month on the first of every month. Therefore on Aug 1 the tradeline would be classified as 1 month old. Five months later would be Jan 1 and it would be six months old. Thus it would classified as six months old on Jan 1, even though it was really only 5 months and a week.
You can try seeing whether you have your three FICO 8 scores on the 2nd of the month, as per the reasoning above. It may well work out for you.
When I tried pulling my FICO scores before the 6 month mark, FICO told me a score could not be generated since my account was too new, and refunded me the money. This was over 4.5 years ago though so YMMV.

Hi Seezer. Have you bought a subscription to myFICO Ultimate? If so, that may be way pricier than you need for somebody just starting out. Especially if you have six months before you can get actual FICO scores. When did you open your first tradeline?
