I went to purchase my TU FICO score here and it gave me an error that I didn't meet the criteria. Can someone explain what the minimum criteria is to have a FICO?
I found this info.......
I have had child support reporting for over 8 years. But, other than that all I have is a new Cap1 secured card and a $1500 installment loan opened the 10th of this month. Both are on the TU report. Does the above info mean that the 6 months refers to a revolving or installment account? Also, one CC is not going to be enough to boost FICO?
Pulling my TU score from TU shows 665 (guess that is the VantageScore).
Thanks.

I found this info.......
- At least one account that has been open for six months or more
- At least one undisputed account that has been reported to the credit bureau with in the past six months
- No indication of deceased on the credit report (Please note: if you share an account with another person this may affect you if the other account holder is reported deceased).

What you posted is the minimum requirements so you'll just have to be a little patient. The 6 months refers to any type of account.
And yes getting your first card can be a boost to your score but there are few absolutes in the credit world so you'll need to wait and see for sure what happens.
I have heard that Child Support is not factored in the FICO score. So would that be the reason why the 8 years of it being reported that FICO doesn't recognize it, thus no FICO score until my CC reaches the 6 month mark?

That's correct.
So is there a way to determine how my FICO will show up in 6 months? Provided I keep my one credit card with a low balance and make the required installment payments on my installment note, will FICO show the last 6 months positive activity? I wonder if my FICO will be below average or if it will be scored high enough to be approved for some CC's or retail cards. My TU and EQ FAKO's are upper 600's. EX is 743 so I am very , very curious.

I'm terrible at guessing and so will leave that to others. But please let us know what your score or scores end up being when you finally are able to get one.
