I am so confused why EQUIFAX would drop my score by 17 point with an alert that one credit card is paid from 277 to 207. Any ideas?
Thanks,
Merinda

In that case, it's probable that something else, something slightly negative, may have happened around the same time you got the alert. SW alerts to only certain events, but if your score has changed, it isn't necessarily because of that particular event. It could be for some other reason not included in the alert. Check your credit report if you're concerned.

People keep asking the same question and the answer is exactly as stated above. Score Wach and even the 3 Bureau Monitoring only trigger score updates when a specific trigger event takes place. Some score changes don't trigger an alert and update and some alerts won't trigger a score change. When a new alert is triggered, the alert also notifies you of any score change based on ALL changes to your report (but triggering events and non-triggering events).
