FICO score N/A?

My credit union just pulled my Experian report and the FICO for me is N/A.  So they were unable to give me a car loan.  Last Novemember it ws 736!  There have been some late pays removed since then, but does anyone know how one gets an N/A, or even better, how to get rid of it?

There shouldn't be any open accounts - I don't even have a credit card right now.  I have a copy of a recent report Experian sent me when a disputed late pay was removed, but there was no FICO on it. There's not much on it, one positive and one negative.  Am I correct that I can pull my own report and number without it dinging my report?

That's the problem then. There are minimum score requirements. Below is copy and pasted from within FICO:

What are the minimum requirements for a FICO score?

There's really not much to it; in order for a FICO® score to be calculated, a credit report must contain these minimum requirements:

  • At least one account that has been open for six months or more
  • At least one undisputed account that has been reported to the credit bureau with in the past six months
  • No indication of deceased on the credit report (Please note: if you share an account with another person this may affect you if the other account holder is reported deceased).

___________

You can pull your report all you want without negative consequences to your score.

Re: FICO score N/A?

Did you see your EX report after the denial? Anything missing?

Do you have other open & current accounts reporting?
