FICO score question

When I check my FICO score on Sun Trust, Citi Bank etc, they all say the same thing 771. They say it is based of Equifax, yet when I go to Equifax it says my score is 749. I dont understand, I checked them the same dates, for example 6/22/2021 so which one is accurate?

Thanks

Mark

Re: FICO score question

That is most likely your FICO 9 score as opposed to your EQ FICO 8 score.

Re: FICO score question

Sun Trust is providing you with Fico 8 Bankcard score, you are looking at Fico 8 classic.

Re: FICO score question

Also, what do you mean by going to EQ?

EQ provides vantage score via their website, so it could be that.

Re: FICO score question

@Anonymous Yes the Equifax score on Equifax website is a Vantage Score 3.0 as @Remedios has stated.

Well why would they provide a vantage 3.0? it is a worthless score then if banks are using a FICO score, is it to scare us to believe that our score is lower then it actually is? I don't get it.

Thanks

Because Vantage scores are free, FICO scores you gotta pay for from the big 3.

But I do pay. Equifax $19.95 a month for a family plan, Experian $19.95 a month, and TU $24.95 a month so am I not entitled to my REAL FICO scores that the banks use? so the agencies are charging me yet providing me with a worthless score? I am I correct on this??

Thanks

Mark

You are entitled to what you agreed to in the TOS.

I would just stick to the Experian where you can get all three FICO8s every month.

I can only comment on EXP as I have the 19.99 plan and those are true FICO scores.

Why are you paying each agency, that's like 64.00 a month where you can get it cheaper here or just use the EXP subscription although you don't get EQ and TU daily only every 90 days, but you get updates and daily EXP?
