I know we are all aware that every profile is different and that with so many FICO models out there, trying to figure it out can drive us crazy, but I just had to share this....
I received the alert below this morning - Equifax Score Change, up 10 points. That is certainly great news, however it appears that it is the fact that a credit card that I accidentally let report $3 last month, is $0 this month! I know that it may be a case of how many credit cards I am allowing to report $0 and so forth, however I just have to laugh on the surface of this! Am I really less of a credit risk with $0 reporting vs. $3? I am almost tempted to let $3 report again next month to see if the FICO God's take the 10 points back!
On the other hand, I really hope that I can keep this score, however it tells me that it does not take much more than the wind blowing a slightly different direction to change FICO scores!
Crazy isn't it? LOL.. I got a alert today also from myfico saying my balance went up on one of my cards by $90 (opps) and my score went up by 6 points! I was like wow, maybe I need to add debt more often! lol. I can't keep up with all this score stuff, that's why I come here and see what the pros say to do about bringing up my score. Good luck.
I saw this to. I saw my score go up 6points when I paid my balance a accidentally let 10 percent post when the statement cut.
well I had my Tu drop 2 points because I updated my phone number and employment information. I've been done with trying to figure out credit scores for a while now. Inquiries give me points, personal infomation drops score. Go figure.
