Why did my fico 8 increase 23 points for TU, EXP and Equifax but not my Fico 5?
Not a question anybody here will even be able to guess at without knowing the specifics of your credit profile. Even then, it would be nothing but a guess.
My guess is that first, FICO sucks, and secondly it's probably because they don't provide updated scores for anything other than FICO 8 scores unless you buy another credit report. Even though they have all of the information needed to recalcuate a new score for all of their versions, they force you to buy another credit report to get updated scores, along with the things that are impacting your score.

CAPTOOL has the correct response, more information about the file is needed.
All scores use algorithms that can be applied to any given credit file, so the algorithm does not just stop working once it is superceded. The factors that each algorithm apply change by version, and so some detail in the OP file is handled differently between the two algorithms, thus the need for more information.
The recently available MyFICO scores and monitoring include a broad range of scoring algorithms, which is probably why OP has the question in the first place.

My answer was 100% correct. No score that FICO provides with your FICO 8 score is updated when your FICO 8 score is updated. You have to buy another credit report to get the non FICO 8 scores updated.
If that is the case, then the appropriate response would be a question back to the OP whether a new set of reports had been ordered, to actually get a new 5 report, or only the regular 3-bureau monitoring was being utilized. Asking clarifying questions is relevant to getting to the real answer to the original question, and staying on topic.

Oh, jeez. Next time I respond to someone with completely valid information, I'll double check with you first to make sure that it's valid and I'm staying on topic. Yeah, right, like I'm gonna do that.
