Fico score range

Ok I had it on my old pc so starting it over again to help some one rebuild so we can watch the score levels as we push through it.

Please let me know if my numbers are off .. I can only go by my worst score.

420	494	poor (RED)
495	657	fair ( orange)
670	739	good)( yellow)
740		great ( green)

300-579 = Very Poor

580-669 = Fair

670-739 = Good

740-799= Very Good

800-850 = Exceptional

Im just working towards getting her from 420 to the fair mark,, baby steps but mine was in the dirt once and now good. Visuals are good motivators.

580 is in the "fair range."

I would seek to get her to 620, especially . I find 620 to be a significant credit score boundary.

I agree at least for me after trying Discover pre-approval a couple of times with no offers when I hit 620 I got an couple of offers, applied for one and got approved with a 1000 sl and no annual fee also with 5% cashback on rotating categories.

She has NO postive credit and a bunch of baddies,

I added her as AU on 2 of my cards with high CL and 10 yrs perfect history

I can get her into Navy Federal CRU and plan to get her 1500 secured credit card. (she has the funds set aside and waiting)

That will give her 3 positive accounts while we tackle the medical bills and student loans.

She has 1 LVN ( 700.00) and 2 Portfolio/Capital One accounts 500.00 each and those are the first to tackle since I know they will delete once paid.

Many of the student loans are now closed but I think she will have to ride out the late payments ( time heals all damage)

Many of the medical bills are small 110.00 150.00 so going to see if the OC will pull them back with payment and if not, offer PFD to collection. If they say no.. smother them in GW letters :-)
