Re: Fico score

Most folks will tell you the credit boosters are smoke and mirrors as the vast majority of lenders ignore the boosted scores and look at your real FICO numbers.

Regarding Lexington Law, I have yet to hear a good review regarding their services; long story short, they can do nothing for you which you cannot do for yourself.

Welcome to the forum, and good luck in your quest to improve your credit scores.

I think Lexington Law is fine. I don't know anything about the other companies you mentioned.

I would suggest you tell us what your credit profile is, accounts and balances, etc. and forum members will have more solid suggestions for you.

And I would suggest that you stop using any other things which claim to boost your credit, at least until you've vetted your ideas in the forum.

The best way to boost your credit is (a) time and patience (b) paying everything promptly and (c) maintaining your limits and balances in a way that the FICO algorithms find favorable.

There are quite a few threads here on boosted scores; lenders can see both real scores and boosted scores.

Upon a manual review creditors will see that your accounts aren't Bankcards per se. Meaning they're just that....credit booster accounts. Kikoff, Credit Strong, Self, Kovo, & Loqbox won't really show how you manage ultilization on the account only payment history since majority of the account are only installment accounts. I would definitely STOP getting those credit booster accounts, let them age and seek accounts (after 6 months to a year) that will grow with you over the long-term.

Highly unlikely.  In your case, it sounds like time will be your best friend.

They are not.  Like the others, their core competency IMO is in convincing others to pay them to do things that they could do themselves,  including things that aren't necessarily in your best interests.

That is often the case.

I took a quick look and could only find a generic requirement for the 660 FICO score, nothing about a specific model or variant.  Do you know if there is a specific model like FICO 8, that is required?     Where did you get the 635 score from (and what is the model and from which CRA was the data pulled?)

Do you know why it is that your score is at 635?   Do you have things like unpaid chargeoffs or a fairly recent  bankruptcy reporting?

I can see why you're interested as it looks like that while you can still get licensed without meeting the mininum FICO requirement, you either have to put up a bond or proof of irrevocable line of credit and also take a 14 hour financial training course.
