I'm confused. I disputed an old student loan account that was closed but it had negative history on it. I expected it to raise my score. Instead this is what happened. My Equifax dropped 13 points to 700, my TransUnion dropped 18 points to 719, but my Experian rose 44 points to 772 ( odd bc through the Experian app itself it has me at 787 based on Fico scoring, **bleep**).
The information looks the same across the board, so I don't get it.
That's pretty crazy to me. Yeah I think it was pretty old, at least 5-6 years.
just odd that my Experian jumped like I thought it would. I know vantagescore is basically useless but I'm above 800 on all three cb there.....
After you dispute something your score might as well be determined by Oujia board, it's not always a full exclusion anecdotally but it can be which sounds like what happened on EX.
Wait till it resolves on all three bureaus and then see what's what.
The disputes are all completed. I guess it hit my AAoA. Just weird though.
If there are still dispute remarks on the tradelines it may not be completed.
Disputes are seriously weird and it's why mortgage approval requires even the remark removal. Bureau datasets just aren't good on this point, don't know why it seems like such a simple thing but apparently they never really got it right.
I wish my scores reflected my vantagescore more. Those are over 800 lol
