I applied for the Capitol One card and the American Express card on the same day and got both cards, but it doesnt show that American express did an inquiry only cap 1. Thats kind of weird since the Am ex gave me a 800% more credit limit then cap 1.
That's really messed up on the myfico's part to only update the SW after ordering a new report.
Remember that you will only get a notice of an inq that was pulled from EQ. AmEx usually does EX. You should get an alert when the new account posts, although it took my new AmEx 10 weeks to show up on my reports.
There is a built-in delay of 2 days to a week for alerts to go out, so if you are antsy about your report, because something has happened, it's very easy to pull it before you get the alert. I have ground my teeth something fierce waiting for the alert to come to see if it's worth pulling the report.
Barry had a thread explaining what does and does not trigger an alert, and what the timetable is. I stickied in on my siggy below. HTH
edit: I meant to add that not only do I have ScoreWatch, but I also have Equifax Credit Monitor Gold and TrueCredit (I know, I know, belt and suspenders.) Typically, after something hits my EQ report, I get an alert from the Equifax monitoring thing within 48 hours or so, then from ScoreWatch 6-12 hours later, then TrueCredit a day or two after that, long after I've seen it on my TrueCredit reports. Kind of entertaining, although my co-workers keep asking why my cell phone keeps beeping for new text messages.
