Finally broke into the 700s! But I think Equifax hates me...

I have been rewarded with decent score increases from TU and EX since I have been paying down my cards.

Yesterday my EX jumped to 704 and TU is at 692

EQ has not been so generous and currently reporting a 660 and has been stagnant.

All the same data between the 3 bureaus. The ONLY difference is about 2 years ago when I moved to a new city for a job promotion my old local CU allowed 2 small charges to pass thru to my old savings account and paid them after I had requested the checking account be closed. The CU requirement to continue membership is $5 in a savings account (my membership needed to be active because I have a personal loan and CC with this bank)

This immediately was reported as a charge off and listed as an "Other Account" not a collection.. to which I paid the FULL amount and asked for them to delete it.

2 weeks after I paid the CU the account still showing open/unpaid so I started a dispute with EQ... dispute closed and it was marked paid but my score has not recovered..

Recently I have spoke to various customer facing members of the credit union in an attempt for a goodwill removal with no avail. I am mailing a goodwill letter today in hopes of better luck.

Is there anything else that I can do to get my EQ score on the move up?

Thanks for the advice,

Scott

Once you have fine tuned everything that you can, the best score that you will be able to achieve will be when you are in the 3%-7% credit utilization range. For me, personally, it is 3%. I do not know what it will be for you
