Hi, I have 2 credit cards, and 1 SSL from Alliant. My first credit card I got on 9/20/17. It takes 6 months to get FICO score. Does this mean that on 3/20/18 I will have a FICO score? I've paid all of my payments on time and have kept my usage aroun 5-10%. What can I expect my first score to be?
When you say usage of 5-10%, are you talking on each of your two credit cards, or do you mean your aggregate utilization?
At what utilization percentage does your SSL sit currently?
Are these 3 accounts the only ones that will be on your credit report? (no AU accounts, etc?)
What is an AU account? And yeah, I have 0% utilization on one card, and right now 7% utilization on my other card. I opened the Alliant SSL in December, and paid $420 on it initially, and have autopay paying $9.95 a month. I haven't done anything else with it.
AU = Authorized User.
What are the types of cards and what are their respective limits?
It sounds like you've paid the SSL down to below 8.9% at this point then, correct?
Yes, that's correct.
My best guess is that your first scores will land in the 710-720 range.
Will I get my first score on the 6 month mark? I opened first card on 9/20/17, so on 3/20/18 will I have a score?
I'm not sure if it's exactly 6 months to the day or if the time of month plays into it, but I'm sure someone else like CGID will pop in here and clear that up.
On your authorized user account, what is the relationship between you & the account holder? For example spouse, parent, etc. And after doing some research it does matter because a friend or renting the trade line out no longer is factored into the score. There are some videos on YouTube that go over this.
