First Credit Score

Hi, I have 2 credit cards, and 1 SSL from Alliant. My first credit card I got on 9/20/17. It takes 6 months to get FICO score. Does this mean that on 3/20/18 I will have a FICO score? I've paid all of my payments on time and have kept my usage aroun 5-10%. What can I expect my first score to be?

Re: First Credit Score

When you say usage of 5-10%, are you talking on each of your two credit cards, or do you mean your aggregate utilization?

At what utilization percentage does your SSL sit currently?

Are these 3 accounts the only ones that will be on your credit report?  (no AU accounts, etc?)

Re: First Credit Score

What is an AU account? And yeah, I have 0% utilization on one card, and right now 7% utilization on my other card. I opened the Alliant SSL in December, and paid $420 on it initially, and have autopay paying $9.95 a month. I haven't done anything else with it.

Re: First Credit Score

AU = Authorized User.

What are the types of cards and what are their respective limits?

It sounds like you've paid the SSL down to below 8.9% at this point then, correct?

Yes, that's correct.

Re: First Credit Score

My best guess is that your first scores will land in the 710-720 range.

Re: First Credit Score

Will I get my first score on the 6 month mark? I opened first card on 9/20/17, so on 3/20/18 will I have a score?

Re: First Credit Score

I'm not sure if it's exactly 6 months to the day or if the time of month plays into it, but I'm sure someone else like CGID will pop in here and clear that up.

Re: First Credit Score

Mine generated on March 1st, first account opened in September.
In terms of generating score, October counts as month 1 for you.
You should have your scores now.
I think Experian has a free site were you can check and Discover scorecard page allows you to check your EX score monthly for free.

Re: First Credit Score

On your authorized user account, what is the relationship between you & the account holder? For example spouse, parent, etc. And after doing some research it does matter because a friend or renting the trade line out no longer is factored into the score. There are some videos on YouTube that go over this.
