Freeze Experian

So I decided to freeze my experian because of the amount of inquires on it. I have like twenty. I think i'm going to keep it frozen for a year. Does this sound like a good plan?

Were these hard or soft inquiries?

Re: Freeze Experian

Well, if it stops you from apping, it sounds like a plan.

More to the point, why so many inquiries? Or have you been mortgage shopping or car shopping?

Random apping really hurts your credit, especially when it results in a lot of new accounts. My history will be in diapers for another year or so, and that was "just" from 8 new accounts.

Snier, that's hilarious because I just did the same thing TODAY for the exact same reason. So, I think it's a great idea.
