GOING FROM 2% to 10%

utilization.  Do you think this will hurt my scores?  It is unusual for me.  Had moving expenses.

Thanks

Only in that you went over 9%. Couldn't be by much, one would think.

Re: GOING FROM 2% to 10%

Good question, annie. Prevailing opinion here seems to be 9% is the point where you see a jump. Or, anything less than 10%. IMO, it depends on your current score. Through experimenting, I have found that anything above 3% hurts me. 0% also hurts me - soooooo, I have to stay between 1-3%. Others have reported no change between 3-9%.

Yes, I think 10% will hurt a little. How little is anyone's guess.

Clear as mud, right?

How much it hurts depends on how high your score is and it isn't like the decrease will last.  If you get your balance down next month, it will recover to what it was.  This past month, I went from 9 to 10% util and I lost 3 pts.

Re: GOING FROM 2% to 10%

I wouldn't worry about it...that's not enough of an increase to ding your FICO that much or alarm the CCCs.  Just pay it down when you can, and don't add to it.
