Gained 1 point for Sync/Paypal HP?

Love how CK sent a text before i even hung up the phone the other day once I got approved for the PayPal CB card. Then Wallethub. Today even though its dated the other day. MyFICO alert goes off. TU shows +1 point. I had no scorable HP's. I had the 2yr old HP from Cap1 for the Savor fall off the same day I applied. But gained 1 point? All my statements are set to the 1st thru the 4th each month. So no new statements. Ever seen that? Weird. No Hp's to 1 and gain 1 point.

I had the same thing happen on Experian when BBVA did a HP for my ClearPoints. And it was Experian that alerted me so it was literally real-time.

Your score went up for a different reason.

HPs don't increase score.  Classic case of an alert being completely unrelated to a score change.

If going from 0 --> 1 scoreable inquiry impacts your score (say) 5 points, you're actually looking for a score-changing event that raised your score 6 points, due to your net gain of 1 point.  This could easily be something unalertable, such as age of accounts factors increasing on the 1st of the month.

I agree with BBS, something else is aging or happening in the background at May 1 to increase score.

Agreed.  No amount of increase from a HP makes sense, but definitely not 51 points.  Something else changed.

As it stands now. 1 point gained after the HP. 1 point loss after new account posted. So it's even now. Did a 3b pull the other day when I started the thread when I made a mistake about the card reporting and got confused on which card is hidden after the new account alert. Only thing I saw so far is my 7th card hit 2 yrs. I have another pull on the 14th. Otherwise nothing else right now has changed. So we'll see then.

You get real reason codes with that FICO score change: post before and after please .

Something is strange and admittedly a 1 point shift is innocuous but it is seriously unlikely to be the inquiry. You did mention some changes on reported balances ?

No balance changes. Nada. All my cards report now. And I keep the same reported balance each month on 1 card. If whatever didn't show up on the other days pull. It will show on the 14th pull. Computer gave me a freebie the other day. It was my 10th account since DC. Didn't pass any thresholds. I suppose the 14th will give some kind of reason.
