So I got my equifax report from myfico.com a few days ago. Is this considered a hard copy? If so, there are no addresses listed for collectors for me to contact. How do I get this info?
Also, I know the SOL is different for each state, but for RI where I live it is 10 years. So does this mean the accounts can be listed for 10 years? I don't really understand the SOL and its terms. Could someone send me a link to more info? Or just explain?!
A hard copy of your CR is any printed copy from the CBs. If you receive it online just print it out. As stated you can receive a free CR from annualcreditreport.com
SOL is set by each state. It is the time limit in which a creditor can file a lawsuit against you. (federal law DOFD) SOL may go by DOFD or DOLA which ever each uses.
The link that ByrdMan gave you should help with the state info.
