I just checked my Equifax credit report via Equifax's website and they don't list any negative accounts. They also show a positive account which I opened last October. However on myfico, they list 4 negaitve accounts for Equifax and not showing the good one I opened last October. How do I get this updated?
Welcome to the forums!
Do you pull your EQ report often? Do you have a lot of soft inquiries showing? ...testing a theory
MyFico is not a credit data repository, which the credit bureaus are (Equifax, TU, Experian). They have no information about your file at all. When you pay MyFIco for your score report, the report is obtained directly from the credit bureau, and myfico uses their algorithm to calculate your score. If there is a discrepency, it is something you would probably need to take up with the credit bureau, not here, but it would never hurt to call myfico, explain and see if there is technical glitch happening.
Equifax has been experiencing a glitch with Scorewatch functioning and other CMS products over the past two days. This morning, I received an alert that an account balance had decreased and my target score had been reached.
I logged in to check my new score and there was no score change and the alerts I received via email were not appearing in Scorewatch. I just called and spoke with India and they confirmed that there are technical difficulties and I should check tomorrow.
Just a heads' up for others experiencing issues. Based on posts here and elsewhere, the system is extremely glitchy on any given day or year and I think it has to do with the 2012 realignment. That's my story and I'm stickin' to it. The end of times scenario is as plausible as the shopworn 'temporarily experiencing technical difficulties mumbai jumbo'.
Anyway, if I don't see that my target score of 700 had -- in fact--- been reached, I am going to be completely P.O.'d.
