Hard Inquiry Removal

I have 2 inquiries falling of my report in October 2017 and about 6 in November 2017. Will I see an increase in my credit score? Im hopping for it. Current FICO TU 712.

Re: Hard Inquiry Removal

Some third-party credit monitoring tools (like myFICO) only show inquries on their reports for the first 12 months.  If that is what you mean, then you will almost certainly get a boost.  The only reasons you would not is if

(a) you were going from a huge number to a still really big number, like 38 to 30

or (b) most of the inquries occured in a short period of time as a result of shopping for a car or a mortgage

If you are talking about a credit report that shows inquries for the full 24 months, then no, you will gain no benefit when they fall off.  You already got the benefit when they turned 12 months old.  After that they stopped having any effect on your score.

Hey thanks, yea they will be 2 years old at that point. I have 15 inquiries. It's from car shopping and cc apps.

Re: Hard Inquiry Removal

It will feel great having lots of inquiries disappear from the report, and that feeling is important!

As far as score impact, however, it will give you no FICO benefit at all, simply because they are so old.  As I mentioned earlier, FICO ignores all inquiries older than 12 months.

Some scoring models do count those old inquiries, however, such as the models used by the insurance industry and also Vantage.  You will get some benefit there when they all fall off.
