Ok so the only mortgage score I don't know is transunion right now after the final update but

Experian 2 is now 688

equifax 5 is now 655

My new goal is now a middle 680 score so I need 25 more points in the next 7 months which I don't think will happen or be a stretch.

Do we think get another credit card will help since I only have one?

Will points be gained from my charge offs not reporting?

@Anonymous You do not want new accounts if you're about to get a mortgage, but another credit card would help increase score. But you can't do that in the run up to a mortgage.

What do you mean the chargeoffs not reporting?

Sorry, yes the charge offs we're reporting monthly. Now they have time to finally age should I see increases on eq 5 and TU 4?

I know Ex2 has a different scoring system than EQ 5 and TU 4. Almost seems as though Experian is more forgiving.

Newest account is 1 yr and 2 months old

bad accounts are coming on two years this month as well as one that's only reporting a charge off but deleted all late payments.

Should be able to get the only collection deleted on TU as well.

@Anonymous if you just paid chargeoffs that were reporting monthly, then yes you should see an increase. The more was paid, the larger the increase, most likely. And now you stop the continual suppression from them.

It goes from the most recent delinquency, so it will go from the chargeoff that was just paid since it was just updated.

it also goes from the highest severity, so if there's a chargeoff designation, any lesser delinquencies are meaningless, so don't expect anything because the lesser delinquencies on that particular account were deleted, unfortunately.

Re: Help rebuild/ mortgage scores

I'm hoping to get this charge off deleted with a credit Union. Any suggestions/pod letter

template? I've called the collections department sent letters but it hasn't gotten into the right hands of someone who can actually make the decision. Also, the balance of this charge off is $1858. If I can get them to delete I'll pay the $1858 in full. If they do not agree to deletion I would settle for a lesser amount. This debt is reporting charge off every month to all three CB's AND impacting my utilization. Something has to be done. Anyone agree to that approach? Help!

Re: Help rebuild/ mortgage scores

@Anonymous thanks! You actually already answered the question I just posted. Just for clarification, paying the COs will 1. lower my utilization 2. Stop the reporting of it being charged off monthly and possibly see an increase in my score. I'd rather have it deleted. Suggestions on who I can or should speak to that has this authority to agree to delete? I need to be persistent and exhaust all my options with this one. As you can see my other COs are with Cap1 and I have heard no one is successful in getting Cap1 to delete COs.

Thanks! Help!!

@tayloreat713 correct lower utilization and lower the amount owed on delinquent accounts and stop the suppression. As for template, I think @AllZero  has a link that might be able to help you. From what I've read camera one seems to be one of the most forgiving.

I don't know who to speak to but I think if u ask of the other members and read some of the threads, you might find out but I've seen a lot of success with Cap1.

Yes, Capital One has been done Good Will on the delinquencies. I'm not sure on the charge offs.

Re: Help rebuild/ mortgage scores

What I did to get my collections deleted - as soon as I paid, I had letters going out immediately asking for a goodwill delete. I followed the method I learned about on here and just super-charged it. I explained my situation, how I rectified and said that I was trying to buy a house. I have gotten nearly all of my disputes removed and all paid collections removed.

Re: Help rebuild/ mortgage scores

Honestly, I am finding that NO ONE will accept a upfront pay for delete.

What works for me - pay. Then immediately GW letter and wait for delete. If I don't get a removal from the first letter, I send a second one - but to a different address. I save all addresses - sometimes you get a PO Box, sometimes a street address, sometimes a PO box in a different city. I have even sent thank you cards (I have a stash).

When I do need to call, I am polite and I usually get the best results that way. This has worked wonders for my credit report and I have this forum to thank.
