I had a very old Capital One account that was charged off. I began making regular payments since June of 2007. I paid off the account October 8, 2007. However, myFICO reports reflect the following in regards to this account:
Transunion: Current status - Paid CO
0 lates, last activity Oct 2007
Equifax: Current status - Bad debt/collection. Description - Paid CO
3-30 lates, 1-60 late, 28-90+ lates (Feb 2006 - Nov 2007)
The recent payment history graph shows Nov and Dec 2007 paying as agreed, as well as June 2007, but July 2007 - Oct 2007 (when I was making regular payments) shows as a "R/F", meaning Reposession/Foreclosure
Experian: Current status - Paid CO
3-30 lates, 1-60 late, 4 90+ lates (Nov 2007)
The recent payment history graphs shows regular payments from Dec 2005 - Oct 2007 (pay off) but a collection in November 2007?
Should I dispute EQ and EX's report of late payments or will I create a mess and turn out worse for disputing?
Please reply, thanks!
