I keep getting solicited by Allstate via CK since so have a perfect auto score so I thought I would experiment a little bit. I know Allstate has softed my (now frozen) EX in the past so I wanted to see how much my rates would quote without them pulling a credit score.

$640 deposit and $517 a month. Outrageous.

I pay 78 at Geico lol. In IL.

Dude, that's baffling.

I paid far less than that when I hadn't had insurance, had just financed an Acura TSX V6, and had a major ding on my driving report as well in Cali: not the cheapest car nor place (nor individual) to insure by any stretch of the imagination.  I thought my then slightly north of $200 per month was high.

How on earth did they get that price for you?  I can understand deterrent pricing but that's just absurd from the sounds of it.  Are you certain that wasn't a six month premium? Smiley Happy.

Haha, yeah, they offered a lump sum payment north of $3000!

I have one minor traffic violation since I got my license nearly 20 years ago. No accidents or claims. I was shocked to say the least.

Geico has always been the best for me over the past 8 years. Allstate and State Farm always come about $500.00/year more for equal coverage. Currently paying $1074.00/year for three vehicles, two with full coverage, 2004 and 2013 model years.

Starting Score: 521 TU, 597 EQ, 574 EX on 6/20/2011
Current Score: 753 TU, 764 EQ, 766 EX on 02/17/2014
Goal Score: 720-740 Across the board
